David Hamilton (1933-)
Born on April 15, 1933 in Great Britain, Hamilton grew up in London. He studied in England but has permanently lived in France since the 1950s. He worked as a graphic designer and then Art Director of fashion magazines and began photographing commercially while still employed at Printemps, the biggest department store in Paris.
His soft-focus images often center on female styles, bodies and expressions and were in high demand by magazines. (showing 500 of 743 characters). |
