David Heath was born in 1950 in Newport News, Virginia. He was educated at Central Virginia Community College and at Virginia Commonwealth University. He began his career as a commercial artist, and from that time was fascinated with European Old Masters and American Hudson River School painters. When he was in his early 20s, he shifted from commercial art to fine-art painting of classically styled interior and coastal landscapes. He does his painti (showing 500 of 1099 characters). |
