Biography from Crocker Art Museum Store:
| Illustrator, cartoonist. Born in Bloomfield, IN on July 9, 1889.
Herold studied at University of Indiana and AIC. He was author-illustrator of Doing Europe and Vice Versa (1931) and a contributor to national magazines.
He was a resident of Los Angeles in the 1920s and 1930s and NYC in 1940-62. Herold died in Vero Beach, FL in June 1966.
