This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Born in San Jose, CA on Jan. 2, 1895. Heron began her art studies while at San Jose Normal School and graduated from the CCAC in 1921. She earned a B.A. degree from San Jose State College in 1929. While pursuing an art career, she lived in Pacific Grove, San Francisco, San Jose, and San Mateo. A spinster, she died in Oakland, CA on March 6, 1980. Member: Nat'l Ass'n of Women Painters & Sculptors; Carmel AA. Exh: Oakland Art Gallery, 1932; Seven Arts Gallery (Carmel), 1932 (solo); Gump's (SF), 1932 (solo); Graham Gallery (London), 1933 (solo); Bartlett Gallery (LA), 1933; Stanford University, 1934 (solo); Morton Gallery (NYC), 1935 (solo); Calif. State Fairs; Society for Sanity in Art, CPLH, 1939, 1940. In: San Jose State University; San Jose Public Library.
