| | Born in San Francisco, CA on Dec. 24, 1883. Ethel Mott studied locally at the Mark Hopkins and Partington Art Schools. After continuing her studies in France, her painting forte was miniatures with a French theme. Returning from Europe in 1902, she married and made her home in Oakland for many years with a studio at 1421 Telegraph.
