| | Born in Illinois on Aug. 24, 1886. Hemphill settled in Pasadena in 1919. During the 1920s and 1930s she was active in the local art scene. A spinster, she died in Pasadena on May 8, 1961. At the time of her death she was an employee of Vee Jackson Ceramics. Exh: Calif.
