This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Florence Hazeltine was born in 1889 in Jamestown, Chautauqua County, New York and died 26 August 1988 in Bradenton, Manatee County, Florida and is buried in Lake View Cemetery, Jamestown, New York. 

She was a very well schooled artist and studied at the Pratt Institute, under Fursman, Watson, Garber, Lever, H. Snell, and B.C. White.  She also studied at the Saugatuck School of Art, the St. Louis School of Fine Art, and in Booothbay Harbor, Maine with many other artists of
notoriety.

She did exhibit at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in 1946, as well as, many exhibitions in the Northeast and Midwest.


Submitted October 2006 by Ed Sinker, Herefordshire, United Kingdom.  He is a first cousin of Florence Hazeltine.
