| Born in Lompoc, CA on Oct. 9, 1905. Hibbits studied at the CCAC and worked in San Francisco as a commercial illustrator during the 1930s. After WWII, he taught at the Santa Barbara Art Institute. His fine art includes representational landscapes and abstracts. He died in Lompoc on July 6, 1996. Exh: SFAA, 1935, 1941; Calif.
