This biography from the Archives of AskART:
The following information is from Kellie Valentine:

My name is Kellie Valentine.  Gertrude Harpold is my Great Great Aunt.  She was my Great Grandmother's Sister.  I spent a lot of time growing up around her.  She was married to Frank Harpold (not Chris Harpold as some sources state).

She lived in Santa Paula almost the remainder of her life.  She did move with her Son and daughter in law when she was in her 90's, but not until then.  The home she lived in at Santa Paula was on property that was owned by Frank Harpold's family and then of course her.   They lived in the "honeymoon cottage" that was built for them when they were married.  She lived in the cottage well into the 1960's. The "big house" was considered a landmark in Santa Paula until it burnt down in the late 60's early 70's.
