This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Gladys Marie Hobart was born in Santa Cruz, CA on Aug. 28, 1892. Hobart moved to San Francisco with her family at the turn of the century and spent most of her life as a resident of 1910 Fulton Street. Her art studies were begun at Dominican College in San Rafael, continued at the California School of Fine Arts and Art Students League in New York City. After World War One she taught painting to the wounded servicemen at Letterman Hospital. Hobart died in Alameda, CA on May 26, 1970.
Exhibited: Panama Pacific International Exposition, 1915; San Francisco Art Ass’n, 1918.
