This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Painter and illustrator Glenn Harrington lives in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

Harrington attended Pratt Institute where he studied illustration. Harrington credits his training in illustration for teaching him discipline, allegory in art, how to paint diverse subject matter and how to change elements in a piece. Harrington has painted the covers of over 500 classic books including "Wuthering Heights" and "A Room with a View".

Glenn Harrington now spends most of his time painting for his own pleasure. His timeless figure paintings are always placed in an environment that hints at a narrative. Harrington enjoys creating the scene around his subject and freely alters the environment to suit the painting's purpose.

Harrington's paintings have been exhibited in museums nationwide including the Museum of American Illustration in New York City, and the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. His other honors include an award from the Society of Illustrators and the Certificate Award from the Portrait Society of America.
