| From exhibition catalogs published by Harry Salpeter Gallery in October of 1962 and Larcada Gallery in June of 1966.
Education: Parsons School of Design; New York University. After
graduating from the High School of Music and Art, he studied,
simultaneously, at New York University and the Parsons School of
Design, at the latter in the classes of Stephen Greene and Ezio
Martinelli. Exhibitions : (one-man) Salpeter Gallery; Far
Gallery. In the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art;
Philadelphia Museum of Art; Lessing J. Rosenwald Collection; Museum of
Fine Arts in Houston; New York University Art Collection; Cooper Union
Museum for the Arts of Decoration; Pratt Graphics Arts Center Print
Collection; and the Butler Institute of American Art. A New
Yorker, born less than twenty-five years before his first one-man
exhibition, Harry L. Hurwitz has been devoting himselft to art in the
various facets of painting, drawing, print-making and film-making.
