Hendricks A. Hallet was primarily a marine and historical painter, and was most noted for his watercolors.
He studied briefly in both Antwerp and Paris, and then returned to Boston to further pursue his education and career as a marine painter.
His oils and watercolors were exhibited throughout New England, with numerous submissions to the Poland Spring Art Exhibitions over a twenty-year period. His paintings often depicted historical subjects, usually ships and maritime events, (showing 500 of 2099 characters). |
