Biography from AskART:

Henry Halem was educated at the University of Wisconsin under Prof. Harvey Littleton. He later became an instructor of Glass at Kent State University in Ohio where he taught for 29 years.

He was a founding member of the Glass Art Society and served as its first President. In 1994 he was named the Ohio Artist of the year.
