|  Born in Germany on May 28, 1873. Hengstler studied at the San Diego Fine Arts Gallery in 1928. By 1933 Hengstler he had settled in Los Angeles and continued his art studies at the Otis Art Institute. He died there on Oct. 1950. His work includes portraits, nudes, still lifes, and landscapes. | Source:
