| Born in Pagoda Springs, Colorado on August 31, 1903. Harman grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, and studied there at the Art Institute.
At Walt Disney's urging in 1925, he moved to Los Angeles where he and artist Rudolf Ising worked on Disney's "Laugh-O-Grams."
Leaving Disney in 1928, the two artists created Looney Tunes and worked for Warner Bros and MGM. In 1941 Harman established his own studio when Ising entered the military.
Harman died in Chatsworth, CA on Nov. 22, 1982.
