This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Born in Cincinnati, OH in 1866.  Ida studied with Frank Duveneck at the Cincinnati Art Academy.  She wed Clarence Holloway but was a widow by 1910.  She taught art and was active in San Francisco and Cincinnati from the 1890s until her demise in the latter on Feb. 3, 1950.  Member:  Women’s Art Club (Cincinnati); Ohio WC Society; Sketch Club (SF).

Holloway was a member of the Cincinnati Art Academy of 1887 in Cincinnati,Ohio. She was a Frank Duveneck student, a charter member of the Cincinnati Woman's Art Club, a past president & charter member of the McDowell Society (1913). and founder of the Old Crafters Company.
