| Born in Montana in 1960, Jan Hinrichs grew up on a cattle ranch almost 50 miles from Kalispell. Surrounded by pets and wildlife, drawing and painting animals became a life long interest at an early age. She studied under Frank DeVita for many years and then enrolled in Montana State University as fine arts major.
Hinrichs lost interest in pursuing a degree after she realized that the focus of the fine arts department at that time was non-representational work. However, her time spent there (showing 500 of 833 characters). |
