Hanley was born April 17, 1938 in New York City. She studied at the American Academy of Art, Chicago (with Irving Shapiro), Dartmouth College, University of Colorado, Honolulu Academy of Art and the University of Hawaii (B.F.A. 1967).Since then she raised five children, taught art and established a career as a painter, sculptor, and illustrator.
Predominantely painting in watercolor, she became interested in sculpture through her mother, a pioneer woman sculptor in the Motion Pic (showing 500 of 1179 characters). |
