| | Born in Cedar Rapids IA on June 29, 1908. Hench moved to Los Angeles with his family in 1911. He studied at Otis and Chouinard art institutes, UCLA, CSFA, and ASL in NYC. In 1939 he began working for Disney Studios and continued there for 60 years. Among the many awards he has won are the Disney Legends Award (1991) and Lifetime Achievment Award (1998). He lived in Toluca Lake, CA until his death in 2004. | Source:
