| | Born in 1853 in San Francisco, CA. Haste spent her early life in a mansion on Nob Hill. She studied locally at the School of Design under Virgil Williams and was active in the local art scene in the 1880s. Following the earthquake of 1906, she moved across the bay to Piedmont where she remained until her demise on Jan. 13, 1934. Her rare works include still lifes and landscapes of Marin, Sonoma, and Monterey counties. Exh: Calif. State Fair, 1884-86; SFAA, 1885; Mechanics' Inst.
