| In 1996 Kenneth A Holder began a project in which he painted realistic modern day views of the whole Lewis and Clark Trail. Holder's work, which captured the landscape of the American west, was on view in museums and art centers in the United States and are reproduced in the book "Discovery: Paintings of the Lewis & Clark Trail" by Kenneth A Holder.
