| Julius Lars Hoftrup (1874 – 1954)
Hofterup in Skane was the birthplace of J. Lars Hoftrup. Hoftrup
immigrated to a farm in New York in 1881 but left to study at Cooper
Union Art School and later made study journeys to paint landscapes in
Canada, France, and North Africa.
His work has been shown in exhibitions at the Phillips Collection, Washington, D.C. and at the Brooklyn Museum.
