| Lillian Mae Grooms Huebner was born in Ottumwa, IA on Feb. 7, 1892. Lillian was the wife of artist Walt Huebner. She studied at the Cummings Art School in Des Moines before moving to California. After settling in Santa Cruz in 1929, she became active in the local art scene and later studied there with Claude Buck. Working in oil, watercolor, and pastel, she produced still lifes, portraits and flower studies. Mrs. Huebner died in Santa Cruz on March 13, 1976.
