LOIS MABEL HEAD
The multi-talented Lois Head, a painter, writer, lithographer, who was also involved with crafts, was born in 1906 in Denver, Colorado. She studied at the University of Utah but made her way to New York by 1923 where she studied under Ralph M. Pearson (1883-1958), probably in his school, called the Design Workshop but he also taught at East Gloucester. Pearson was a well-known educator and author of The New Art Education (1941).
