Biography from Hess Fine Art & Auctions:
Captured by the ideas and feelings that stir the imagination and creativity, Lynn Hutchins never backed away from anything that interested her.

Lynn Hutchins was born on March 10, 1935. Her love for art was noted at the age of four when she drew pictures on the floor of her Texan home. Through her years of artistic experimentation she performed in the theater where she won numerous awards, wrote novels, published Gospel songs, and in between those accomplishments pursued her Art interests.

Being very religious and closely knit to her family and friends, she moved to Florida in 1992 to be the sole caregiver to her mother until her mother's death in 1998. Through the challenge of her mother's illness, Lynn faced her own challenge in 1993, Cancer.

Lynn was a member of the Pinellas Park Art Society, where she won numerous awards, and a member of the Miniature Art Society of Florida. The Pinellas Park Mayor, Bill Mischler, chose two of Lynn's paintings to hang in City Hall.

Recently Lynn had been drawn even more into the arts. She believed that art was a "journey of the heart and a chance to capture a moment in time, touch the viewer's emotions, and present a place of wonder, to remember, and listen with the heart to the story."

By 2003 Lynn illustrated Harry B. Knight's children's book, "Angel‚s Star" and was featured in the "Tampa Tribune" for her accomplishment. She was featured again in the "Tampa Tribune" in 2003 for her own artistic achievements, and included in the article was a record of some of her own childhood memories.

Her later works were of miniatures, landscapes, and portraits. Lynn exhibited around the States. Several Private collections of her works exist throughout the United States and in parts of Europe.

Lynn died November 20, 1003.
