| Born in Blue Earth, MN on May 31, 1884. Mabel George was educated at Carleton College in her native state. By the 1920s she had settled in Whittier, CA as the wife of Myron Haig. Locally, she was a pupil of Helena Dunlap, Wm Lees Judson, Millard Sheets, Anna Hills, and Elanor Colburn. Mrs. Haig lectured, exhibited, and was active as a teacher of painting and ceramics in Whittier for many years. She died there on Oct. 27, 1977.
