| Born in Spencer, IA on June 5, 1899. Hebert graduated from the University of Montana with a B.A. degree in physics and mathematics. Recovering from tuberculosis, she moved California in 1923 and soon settled in Santa Barbara. There she graduated from the State Teacher's College in 1929 and then studied with Ed Borein and Frank M. Fletcher. From 1946 to 1957 she was head of the art department at Mary Hardin-Baylor College in Belton, TX. Resigning due to her health, s (showing 500 of 2425 characters). |
