|  A St. Louis artist, Martha Hoke studied at the St. Louis School of Fine Art and worked there as an illustrator. She was also in Paris, France and exhibited at the Paris Salon. Other exhibition venues were the Art Institute of Chicago and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art.

This artist is my great aunt. She painted in Provincetown, Massachusetts, where she owned a house in the center of town, although she lived much of her life in Missouri
