| Post War California artist, Mel Hanson studied at University of Pacific, Stockton. Hanson was a member of the 'Fyrehaus Group', that included William Snyder, Jack Farloux (Farley), Terry St. John and Jim Muhs, who shared an old firehouse in Stockton as their studio until 1961. Hanson was highly influenced by the German expressionists creating highly sophisticated abstract, pop and figurative works during his brief but highly productive artistic career as he exhibited frequently in the Green and (showing 500 of 1463 characters). |
