| Born in Oakland, CA on July 9, 1910. After graduation from Oakland High School, Hardy studied at the CSFA for four years. He was a muralist for the WPA and, under their auspices, assisted Lucien Labaudt on his Coit Tower mural (1934), Thomas Laman on his Eureka Post Office mural (1936), and painted a mural in the Fort Ord Enlisted Men's Club. During the 1940s he did murals for the Matson Lines on their luxury liners Lurline, Monterey, and Mariposa. All of his murals and paintings were done b (showing 500 of 979 characters). |
