| The following, submitted November 2005, is from Ann Tomasiello,
collector of work by the artist. One of the paintings had the
following biography attached to it.
"Michael Hodowal was born in Florida and is mostly self taught.
Based on studies of the old masters and 19th century American landscape
painting, he has developed an artistic style with delicate brushwork
and subtle palette in which he develops a mystical atmosphere of the
American landscape.
Hodowal has exhibited widely in recent years: 1997, Broward Art Guild;
2000, The Society of the Four Arts 62nd Annual National Exhibition of
Contemporary American Painters; 2002, Same Society's 64th Annual
National Exhibition; 2004, Honorable Mention -16th Annual art
Show/Arthur R. Marshall National WildlifeRefuge. Recently works by
Michael Hodowal have been selected by the U.S. State Department to
represent the nation in foreign embassies.
