Born in Marshall, Missouri, Mike Henderson currently resides in San Leandro, California. He received his BFA and MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1969 and 1970, respectively. In addition to painting, Henderson is also a professional blues musician.
Henderson has held a prominent place in the second generation of Bay Area Abstract painters, and has continued to reflect on the challenges of the urban landscape that has surrounded him. In his paintings, the oil paint is spread an (showing 500 of 1123 characters). |
