M. C. Haywood was a prominent artist during the Ragtime Era in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born in Saline, Michigan in August of 1854. He painted in Las Vegas, New Mexico; Topeka, Kansas; Kansas City, Missouri; Buffalo, New York; and Jamestown, New York.
His work consists of landscapes, genre scenes, portraits, and still lives on canvas and wood. Two of his paintings are at the Topeka Kansas H (showing 500 of 1476 characters). |
