Milton W. Holm, mainly known as a significant painter in Rochester, New
York, was active in the Rochester Art Club* and served as president of
the Genesee Group of Painters*, formerly known as the Geneseeans.
This group of representational painters sought to capture the Spirit of
Place while rendering their regional landscapes, and was dedicated to
resist European modernism.
During the Great Depression, Holm maintained an active exhibition
schedule at the National Academy (showing 500 of 1367 characters). |
