From New York, Murray Hantman was a painter in abstract style and muralist who worked with Boardman Robinson in the Kaufmann murals in Pittsburgh, and with Thomas Hart Benton on murals for the New School of Social Research in New York. He was a teacher at the Brooklyn Museum and participated in many exhibitions.
