| Born in Petrograd, Russia in 1892. While commanding a ship at Murmansk, Hetrovo's vessel was seized by Bolsheviks. He later decamped to the U.S. An architect, he was also a fine classical singer and painter. By 1937 he had moved to San Francisco where he was active in the local music and art scene. Due to a mental breakdown and suicide attempt, he spent his last months at Agnew (CA) State Hospital; he died there on May 19, 1956. As well as architectural renderings, his work includes non-obj (showing 500 of 801 characters). |
