|  From her studio in Brooklyn, New York, Rachel Harrison creates
sculptural pieces, intentionally shabby looking, from objects she has
scavenged. Her work is described as combining "art historical and
pop cultural . . . through a diverse play of materials.
(Saatchi). She is also a photographer.
She
is a 1989 graduate of Wesleyan, and her first solo exhibition was in
1996 in her homeplace of Brooklyn. Her works are both free
standing and wall pieces.
