Biography from AskART:
| A little known artist, active in Cincinnati where he was born and where in 1876, he was first listed in the city directory as an artist and later as a restorer of paintings. He attended the McMicken School of Design, and was a student of Frank Duveneck, Charles Webber and Thomas Noble.
He was also a lithographer and a charter member of the Cincinnati Art Club, where he was active until he died in 1915.
