Biography from AskART:
| Richard Hinsdale was a portraitist, landscapist, genre painter and wood engraver. He was born in Hartford, Connecticut in 1825 and died in Hartford, Connecticut in 1856. He worked in New York City in 1848 and Worcester, Massachusetts in 1853-54.
He exhibited at the American Art-Union, National Academy.
