Robert Harris CMG, RCA, OSA (1849-1919)
Robert Harris was an important Canadian painter, muralist (1) illustrator (2), draftsman, educator and leader in the national art community. He was considered one of the most renowned portrait painters in Canada in the late 19th and early 20th centuries (3). He was also President of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts* and Vice-President of the Ontario Society of Artists*.
