| Born in Erie, PA on Jan. 15, 1907. Holmquist moved to California in 1920. Following graduation from Alhambra High School, he studied at the Chouinard Art School. He then was a graphic artist for 38 years at John D. Roche Company. He died in Alhambra on April 27, 1987.
