Robert Overman Hodgell was born in Mankato, Kansas on July 14, 1922. A painter, etcher, engraver, and illustrator, Hodgell studied at the University of Wisconsin where he earned his BS and MS degrees. He also studied at Dartmouth College, and the State University of Iowa.
Hodgell was a member of the Society of American Graphic Artists, Art Association Museum, National Serigraphic Society, and Madison Art Association. His works are held in the Joslyn Art Museum, at Dartmouth College, Wisco (showing 500 of 2996 characters). |
