This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| A creator of assemblage pieces resembling labyrinthian shapes, Robin Hill is also a professor of art at the University of California, Davis. Of one of her works, untitled, it was written that "From a distance, Hills' sprawling configuration resembled giant, loopy garden hoses." Hill builds from basic units such as small wax balls and paper cup plaster-cast forms.
Eva Hesse (1936-1970) with her assemblages of minimal style and wide variety of unusual materials was a major influence on Hill.
