Born in Columbus, Ohio, he is a representational painter who studied at the Columbus College of Art and Design and at the Art Students League of Denver. He became a resident of Denver. His palette is muted, and he frequently works in a wide range of gray, striving for atmosphere and moods, particularly in the figurative work. His goal is to capture gesture and emotion.
