Sam Harris, an international artist, was born in Los Angeles, California in 1919. The son of well known California plein air artist, Sam Hyde Harris, he settled on his vocation at an early age. Painting in the impressionist manner, his works are presented in various media.
Harris received a 4 year scholarship to the Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles. At the Otis Institute he studied with Ralph Homes, Biddle, Alexander Brook, Vysekal, and others.
