Samuel F. Hershey studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology,
Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts*, Boston Museum School of Art, and
with New Haven Paint & Clay Club* members Aldro Hibbard and William
Lester Stevens.
He exhibited his paintings nationally during the 1920’s and 1930s
before he began his teaching career. At Harvard University’s
Graduate School of Design, he taught from 1937 to 1942; at the Rhode
Island School of Design, from 1946 to 1969; a (showing 500 of 2327 characters). |
