| Thomas Hoffman was born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin and was a self-taught artist until the age of 35, when he chose to return to school and study art formally. He received a BFA from the Art Institute of Chicago and MFA from Northwestern University. He then received a fellowship to study with realist painter James Valerio. The artist has focused on Still Life painting for the past four years. His canvases combines the formal qualities of chosen objects with their symbolic, or psychologica (showing 500 of 963 characters). |
