| | Born in Illinois on July 28, 1875. Hankins taught in the Chicago public schools for 40 years. She retired to San Diego, CA about 1934. There she painted landscapes of the area near her home in Carlsbad. She died in Oceanside, CA on April 27, 1977. Exh: La Jolla Art Center, 1942; Long Beach AA, 1942. | Source:
