Born on October 24, 1920 in Harrisburg, Illinois, he became a regionally and nationally well-known artist. Hancock painted portraits and murals all over the world, working for various corporations. Most of his later paintings were done in acrylic, rather than oil. He often had paintings in the Brown County Art Gallery in Nashville, Indiana.Harold Hancock died on July 11, 2006 in Nashville, Indiana.
